1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MIDI Volume Control ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MIDI Volume Control is a macOS application that allows users to control system volume and Apple Music volume using MIDI controllers. The App provides:

• System volume control via MIDI input
• Optional Apple Music volume control
• MIDI Learn functionality for controller mapping
• Menu bar integration
• Automatic device detection

3. System Requirements

The App requires:

• macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later
• A MIDI controller or interface
• Apple Music app (for optional Apple Music control features)

4. Privacy and Data

The App operates with minimal data collection:

• MIDI device information is processed locally for controller mapping
• No personal data is transmitted to external servers
• Apple Music integration requires automation permission when enabled
• All settings and configurations are stored locally on your device

5. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

• MIDI Access: Required for receiving MIDI controller input
• Apple Music Automation: Optional permission for controlling Apple Music volume

You can revoke these permissions at any time through macOS System Preferences.

6. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Hardware compatibility issues
• MIDI controller malfunctions
• System audio interruptions
• Data loss or corruption

7. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

• Ensuring MIDI controller compatibility
• Proper configuration of MIDI devices
• Backing up system preferences if desired
• Using the App in accordance with these Terms

8. Updates and Changes

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes. Major updates will be distributed through the Mac App Store.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. These Terms will remain in effect until terminated by either party.
