Career Journey

2024 – 2025

Head of Design at Observable

At Observable, I led the design and research team as Head of Design, spearheading the development of Observable Canvas—a collaborative data analysis platform that enables cross-functional teams to explore, visualize, and understand data together in real-time. Canvas integrates AI-powered insights with point-and-click and SQL-based workflows, connecting to databases like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks to make complex data exploration more accessible across organizations.

2021 – 2024

VP of Product at Tray.ai

During my tenure at Tray.ai, I advanced through several key leadership roles—culminating as VP of Product. Starting as Sr. Director of Customer Experience & Growth Engineering and later as Head of Product & Design, I integrated design with product strategy, evolving Tray from a low-code tool into the comprehensive AI-powered integration platform it is today.

2018 – 2021

Sr. Director of Product Design and Research at CloudBees

At CloudBees, I progressed from Lead Product Designer to Sr. Director of Product Design and Research. I built a design and research function that bridged engineering with creative strategy, driving the integration of two major product lines into one cohesive market offering with eight-figure ARR, significantly enhancing the developer experience for Fortune 500 clients navigating digital transformation.

2013 – 2018

Director of Product & Design at UserVoice

At UserVoice, I transitioned from Senior User Experience Designer to Director of Product & Design, transforming the platform by shifting from basic feedback aggregation to strategic, data-driven product decision-making. During my tenure, ARR increased from $1MM to $10MM and ASP rose from $3K to over $18K.

2009 – 2012

Senior Producer & Studio Manager at Electronic Arts

At Electronic Arts, I served in various technical, product, and leadership roles, including Senior Producer and Studio Manager. I helped establish the EA2D studio and expand it from 6 to over 35 professionals, co-producing social and mobile game titles, and launching EA's debut title on Google+. This experience, following the acquisition of my earlier venture, provided invaluable insights into managing large-scale creative and technical projects in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

2007 – 2011

Founder and Director at Spreedly

I co-founded this fintech company with an API-first approach. Spreedly emerged as a global leader in payments enablement, optimization, and orchestration—serving over 50,000 businesses, facilitating billions in transactions, and securely managing a billion payment methods. This venture not only disrupts traditional payment models but also set early benchmarks for remote work practices.

2006 – 2009

Founder and Director at Weewar ltd.

At Weewar ltd., I founded and directed one of the earliest browser-based gaming experiences, which broke new ground with its open API for academic research and dynamic player-created content. The game's design and accessibility garnered critical acclaim and ultimately led to its acquisition by Electronic Arts.

2004 – 2007

Creative Director at Soda

At Soda, I advanced from Senior Designer to Creative Director, spearheading high-profile projects for clients such as The BBC, The British Council, Nesta, Welcome Trust, Amnesty International, and The London Science Museum. My leadership included launching a successful anti-censorship campaign for Amnesty International, creating interactive installations for museums, and extending the BAFTA-winning Sodaplay platform—efforts that earned international recognition and awards.

1999 – 2003

Founder at schoene neue kinder

As Founder of schoene neue kinder, I established a design consultancy that laid the foundation for my career in creative direction and business strategy. Managing a AAA client base and navigating complex contract and licensing negotiations, I developed core skills in stakeholder management and strategic brand development that continue to inform my leadership approach today.
